Severe Service Applications Call for Extreme-Duty Truck Radiators
OE-Extreme radiators feature copper and brass radiator core with bolt-on steel tanks. We carry a complete line of OE-Extreme radiators for severe service applications including refuse, logging, drill rigs and class 8 trucks - all with an emphasis is placed on durability.
The line even includes models that address the specific challenges of severe service application radiators with Power-Take-Off (PTO) boxes.
Special features for severe service applications include:
- PTO box reinforcement: full length steel-reinforcement plates on both sides of the PTO box to provide superior structural support
- Full header reinforcements: every tube-to-header joint is reinforced with an additional 11-gauge brass support along the entire header
- Heavy-wall tubes: at least twice the thickness of standard radiator tubes, are featured on the outside rows of the core and adjacent to the PTO box
- Silver soldered tube-to-header joints: all heavy-wall tubes are silver soldered to the header. Silver solder has a tensile strength far superior to traditional solder.
